Hammertime Field Services Practical help, in writing Get the packet — $149 flat

Orphaned Solar Homeowner Advocate

Your solar company went bankrupt. Your panels didn't get the memo.

If your installer or lease company folded — Sunnova, SunPower, or anyone else — you were probably handed to a servicer you've never heard of, with an app that doesn't work and nobody to call. We sort out your paperwork so you know where you stand.

No subscription. No percentage of anything. No sales pitch for new panels.

Sound familiar?

What homeowners are saying in public forums and news coverage:

"My monitoring app just stopped working. I don't know if my system is even making power."

"I'm still paying two or three hundred dollars a month, and the company I signed with doesn't exist anymore."

"The new servicer wants ten dollars a month just to show me my own production numbers."

"My production guarantee didn't transfer, and nobody will tell me what's actually covered."

"I want to sell my house, and the buyer's lender is asking questions I can't answer."

The Orphaned Solar Packet — $149 flat

One fixed price. The packet covers your system, at your address:

  1. Ownership and equipment record — what you own or lease, from whom, the panels, inverter, and install details pulled together in one document.
  2. Warranty status findings — what your contract and warranty paperwork actually says is still covered, and what didn't transfer when your company folded. Findings, in writing — not a guess.
  3. Monitoring options — how you can see your own production again, including what the servicer charges and what alternatives exist for your equipment.
  4. Vetted local servicer shortlist — independent companies near you who service orphaned systems, with contact details.
  5. Next-step letter — a ready-to-send letter to your lender or servicer of record asking the questions that get credits and records reviewed, written from your paperwork.

Questions orphaned homeowners actually ask

My solar company went bankrupt. Who is responsible for my system now?

Usually a servicing company took over the accounts — for many Sunnova and SunPower customers that's SunStrong Management. They handle billing and basic account servicing, but that is not the same as the company you signed with, and some things you were promised, like the production guarantee, did not transfer. Your packet names who holds what on your system, from your own contract.

My monitoring app stopped working. Is my system still making power?

Probably — panels don't stop because an app dies. But without monitoring you can't tell if production dropped, and a silent failure can run for months. Your packet lays out your options for seeing production again on your equipment, what each costs, and what the servicer charges for the same numbers.

Is my warranty still good?

It depends on which warranty — equipment warranties from panel and inverter manufacturers are separate from the installer's workmanship warranty and any production guarantee, and they didn't all survive the bankruptcy the same way. We read your paperwork and give you the findings in writing, including who to contact for each piece.

I'm still paying my loan or lease every month. What are my options?

The loan or lease is a separate contract from the service promises, which is why the payments kept coming. What you can do depends on your contract's wording — production guarantees, credit provisions, and transfer terms are all in there. Your packet includes a ready-to-send letter asking your lender or servicer to review your account against those terms. We don't negotiate for you and we can't promise an outcome; we make sure the ask is documented and specific.

I want to sell my house. What will the buyer and their lender need?

Proof of what the system is, who owns it, the lease or loan transfer terms, and recent production. A missing or messy file is one of the most common ways an orphaned system slows a sale down. The packet's ownership and equipment record is built to be handed straight to a buyer, a title company, or a lender.

Fine print, in plain words

Hammertime Field Services is not a solar installer and does not repair solar systems. The packet is records research, findings, and paperwork, done from your contract and public servicer information. Warranty and credit outcomes are decided by the companies that hold your contracts, not by us.
